Description
Mugen High Performance Rear Brake Rotors S2000
Manufactured with the same technology used to produce JGTC brake components, Mugen high performance rotors are available as direct replacements for a variety of applications.
Mugen’s unique design incorporates a 5 slot staggered pattern. In most slotted rotor applications the slots are machined into a cast blank – Mugen’s technology allows the slots to be cast into the blank providing a stronger more crack resistant piece. The number and placement of the slots on each rotorrotor was also a critical design consideration for Mugen. Through repeated dyno and track testing, Mugen found the 5 slot staggered pattern to provide the best compromise between cooling, pedal feel, and vibration.
The 1mm deep slots also work to keep the friction surface on the brake pad clean of carbonized material that typically builds up under hard braking. These rotors also feature an anti-corrosion treatment to ensure that the entire rotor stays free of rust.
These are direct replacement rotors.
